Snakes gear up for trivia night

The Caboolture Snakes are getting ready to stage a trivia night, with prizes to be doubled for the victors if they are not from a committee table.

Limited tickets are available for the Caboolture Snakes Junior Rugby League Club (CJRLC) trivia night, which will be held at the CJRL clubhouse from 6pm on Saturday May 22.

Each table is restricted to six people due to COVID-19 regulations, while children will not be permitted due to the restrictions.

Topics covered will include sport, general knowledge, geography, science and nature, and That’s Entertainment.

The previous time the CJRLC hosted one of these trivia nights was nearly two years ago, when the event was sold out.

Individuals, families and businesses can make contributions for prizes. Items such as scratch-its, boxes of chocolates, bottles of alcohol, vouchers for services or attractions, fruit trays, meat trays, seafood trays, hampers and any other products with a business card would be welcome.

Businesses are asked to include a business card with their prize, while the businesses are also invited to provide flyers that can be left on tables.

Prizes will be doubled for the victors if they are not a committee table. In other words, any tables with people who are registered as committee volunteers through CJRLC won’t have their victors’ prize doubled.

This incentive should encourage all Snakies families and the community to come along, as they will have their prize doubled if they emerge triumphant.

There will also be games for $1 each, in between the rounds.

The bar will be open while there will strictly be no BYO as the venue is licensed.

Cost is $50 per table, with one ticket per table. Ticket prices include light snacks, while attendants are permitted to bring extra snacks for their table.

Tickets can only be purchased at https://www.trybooking.com/BQZSJ, and will not be available on the night.
