Snakes U14 Yellow boys turn the tide

THE two Caboolture Snakes under 15 girls teams remained in the top two positions of their division after notching 52-point wins in round 12 of junior rugby league.

The Caboolture Black U15 girls remained undefeated after trouncing Gympie 56-4, while the Caboolture Yellow U15 girls scored 52 points without reply against Stanley River/Beerwah.

Following a tight 28-24 win against the lowly-placed Maroochydore, the Caboolture Black boys remained one competition point ahead of the second-placed Caloundra Gold in the U16s.

The second-placed U13 Yellow girls had a tight and commendable 20-18 loss to the unbeaten Coolum/Maroochydore, while both of the Snakes U13 boys teams topped 50 points.

Caboolture’s U13 Yellow boys recovered from their hefty 56-6 loss to competition pacesetter Bribie as they followed up with a 58-16 victory against the last-placed Kawana.

Caboolture’s U13 Black boys beat Nambour 56-8 after Nambour won the previous encounter 38-8 back on March 20.

Caboolture’s U14 Yellow boys reversed the result from the previous week, winning 30-12 against Stanley River Red which beat the Snakes team 42-22 only seven days earlier, with both games at Bob Day Oval.

Although Caboolture’s U15 Yellow boys lost 20-6 to Beachmere, this was a huge improvement for the Snakes team which lost 46-0 to Beachmere only five weeks beforehand.
