The new heat pumps will ensure that the facility remains consistently heated to the high 20 degrees throughout the season. Mayor Graeme Lehmann said swimmers would no longer have to endure the chill of cooler mornings.

“Swimmers will have access to a heated pool throughout the season,” Cr Lehmann said.

“This will benefit all users of the centre and hopefully we’ll see even more people using this great facility.”

The project is an initiative of the Queensland Government through the COVID Works for Queensland Program. The Kilcoy Aquatic Centre is open 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 5pm Sunday.
