Toogoolawah duo aim high at Ballandean’s Brass Monkey shoot

A SMALL contingent from Toogoolawah Clay Target Club recently took part in a two-day Brass Monkey shoot at Ballandean, with two shooters gaining podium placings.

Daryl Stevens from AA Grade took out Overall High Gun for the weekend, while fellow Toogoolawah shooter Steve Wilson (pictured) took out C Grade High Gun after proceedings concluded on Sunday, July 18.

Day one featured the 25pr and 50pr Double Rise events, and day two featured the 150T Double Barrel.

The name of the competition proved fitting for the occasion as conditions were very cold and windy.

The wind assisted by making the clays rise and then drop.
