Wamuran wins outright in Division 4

WAMURAN-STANLEY RIVER defeated Coolum by six wickets in the two-day Division 4 cricket match at Wamuran Sports Reserve.

Coolum began day two at 1/60 in its second innings and had a three-run lead, having been bowled out for only 50 in its first innings before Wamuran-Stanley River declared at 4/107.

The visiting team could not build on its solid platform in the second innings, and the eventual total of 144 left the hosts a victory target of 88.

Big and small totals in Division 6

Wamuran-Stanley River was too strong for Coolum in the Division 6 encounter at Coolum.

The visiting team amassed 359 runs before dismissing the hosts for just 86.

Convincing first innings win in Division 7

Wamuran-Stanley River comfortably won on the first innings in the Division 7 match against Cooroy-Eumundi Yellow in Wamuran.

The hosts were 9/99 before an aggressive 36 not out from David Baker, who hit two fours and four sixes, helped boost the total to 149.

The visitors crashed from 0/36 to 72 all out, with Mark Goves taking 3/8 as five Wamuran-Stanley River bowlers shared the wickets.

Luke Eronen finished the match as he took two wickets without a run in his only over.

U12 South: Wamuran-Stanley River Red 6/117 (R Rogers 29 not out) beat Glasshouse 60 (E Baker 2/5, S Harvey 1/1).

U12 South: Landsborough 90 (K Tallar 28; R Jarrett 3/6, R Lang 2/5) lost to Wamuran-Stanley River Blue 137 (J Jennings 48 not out, R Jarrett 28, R Lang 28; E Brown 3/11).
