The Division 4 team chased a modest target at Maroochydore, while the Division 6 team defended a strong total on home soil.

Comfortable run chase in Division 4

Wamuran-Stanley River had a comfortable five-wicket win at Maroochydore, with the home side falling away after a promising start.

The hosts lost their first wicket with 39 runs on the board, before collapsing to 116 all out as Addam Nicholson was the pick of the Wamuran-Stanley River bowlers with three wickets.

The visitors lost wickets with the total at nine, 31, 67, 104 and 107, while Tony Runge top-scored with 37.

Strong total in Division 6

Wamuran-Stanley River compiled 213 runs for the loss of seven wickets in its allotted overs, before Palmwoods managed 161 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

The hosts lost two early wickets, before an innings of 64 from opener Reece Clark and a hard-hitting 83 from Curtis Smith set up the match-winning total.

No joy in Division 7

A total of 9/111 in 40 overs proved insufficient for host team Wamuran-Stanley River as Cooroy-Eumundi passed the target in less than 20 overs for the loss of four wickets.

Troy Marshall scored 31 as the hosts recovered from 6/40, while Kaidan Jarrett and Mark Goves made useful 20s.

The visitors wobbled at 2/23 before an aggressive 50 not out from Ben Christensen put the result beyond doubt.
