202 players took part in the Charity Day which consisted of a greenkeeper revenge challenge course, beat the golf professional and thong throwing. Over $1300 worth of donated goods were used for daily prizes and multidraw raffles.

Thank you to all players and donors as well as  Richard, Ron and Anna for organising the day. Although the figures aren't finalised, the club estimates it has raised approximately $5,500-$6,000 which will assist in covering medical costs for Abbie.

Abbie is grandaughter to long-time Woodford Golf Club member Pam Sweeper. In July 2019, Abbie was at her local pony club and while competing in an event, Abbie fell from her horse and landed on her head. This caused severe spinal cord and brain damage (broken C1 & C2) resulting in her being a tetraplegic (no feeling from the neck down). Her recovery is ongoing, spending almost 12 months in PICU and she will require 24 hour care under two nurses for the rest of her life.

Thank you to the following sponsors: Betta Home Living Woodford, Woodford Hotel, Kilcoy Backyard Bling, Ledgers Country Butchery, Dartmoor Droughmasters, Kilcoy Global Foods, Woodford Barber Shop, Woodfloria, Clews News, Braisen Hussey, Jallas Cafe, Millawa Ranch, Jacob Boyce Golf, Anna Stanton Golf, Massagemix by Melissa, Kilcoy Rural, Woodford Home Timber and Hardware, Carmel Hendrie and Ashley/Alison Fisher for all of their donations!
