Storm activity unlikely for now
Storm activity is likely in the Darling Downs and Granite Belt but less likely in the Somerset and Moreton Bay areas in the next couple of days, according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM).
A BoM spokesperson said on Thursday afternoon that the situation was fairly unstable and there was “an unsettled few days”.
“We couldn’t rule out a thunderstorm in Kilcoy (and surrounds), but it’s hit and miss,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said any storm activity was possible in Somerset but highly unlikely in Moreton Bay in the next couple of days.
The spokesperson said there could be some showery weather in the Moreton Bay areas on Sunday and Monday.
