Toogoolawah weaners to $1,740

Weaners sold to $1,740 at Shepherdson and Boyd’s second annual weaner sale at the Toogoolawah Saleyards on Friday, 18 June, 2021. The quality yarding of 2190 weaners met excellent competition from a large panel of repeat and enthusiastic buyers.


Duncan and Fiona Williamson of Mt. Stanley topped the steer section with their Charolais x steers calves @ $1,740.

Glenhills Pastoral of Moore sold excellent Charbray steer calves @ $1,720 and $1,660.

Moteham Pty Ltd of Lyndhurst, Crows Nest sold 142 F2 Charolais x steers topping @ $1,680 to average $1,609.

From Enterprises sold Charolais x steer calves @ $1,630 and $1,570.

Ray Richards sold Charolais x steer calves @ $1,530.

Maree Duncombe of Conondale had quality Charbray steers @ $1,570. 

Alben and Helen Perrett sold quality Charbray steers @ $1,570 and $1,490.

Barnes Grazing Co had Santa steer calves @ $1,650.

The Moteham’s Hereford Brahman x steer calves sold to $1,590 to average $1,498 for 63 head.

Wade and Megan Stretton sold Charolais x steer calves @ $1,540.

Ray and Dianne Bruxner sold Charolais x steers @ $1,680 and Droughtmaster quality steers @ $1,560.

John Mewing had Charolais x steer calves @ $1,460 and Droughtmaster x @ $1,430.

Peter Carseldine’s Droughtmaster x steers sold @ $1,490.

Fogg and Gloag sold Simbrah steer calves @ $1,610 and $1,560.

Darren Varley’s Limousin x steers sold @ $1,600.

Jimna Grazing co. had a great line of Santa and Santa Charolais x steers topping @ $1,680 to average $1,545 for 94 head.

Tablelands of Kilcoy sold Charolais x steer calves @ $1,530 and $1,490.

The Cove Trust of Woodford had Santa x steers @ $1,560 and quality Brangus steers @ $1,520 and $1,490.

Monte Cassino Pastoral Co of Kilcoy sold an outstanding line of Droughtmaster steer calves weaned and tailed to $1,610 and $1,550.

Bjelke Pastoral sold Charolais x steers @ $1,570 and $1,510.

Brent Pratten had Charolais x steer calves @ $1,570.

Tandarra Partners had Droughtmaster steers @ $1,500 and Angus x @ $1,550.

Latimer and Sons sold quality Angus steers @ $1,500.

Keith Flynn’s Charbray steer calves realised $1,500.

Strawberry Fields had Charolais x steers @ $1,460 and $1,430.

Redlin Grazing Co. sold a great line of young Charbray Droughtmaster steers @ $1,470.

Paul and Ros O’Brien had Charolais x steer calves @ $1,570 and Brangus @ $1,520.

Replacement breeder heifers were in great demand with Brisbane Valley Protein selling Brangus heifers @ $1,810 and $1,680 with Santa heifers @ $1,830.

Lyndhurst of Crows Nest sold 158 F2 Charolais x heifers to $1,600 to average $1,458.

Maree Duncombe sold Charbray heifers @ $1,380.

Ray and Dianne Bruxner’s Droughtmaster heifer calves sold @ $1,260.

Graham Scholl had Charolais x heifers @ $1,480.

Jimna Grazing sold Charolais x heifers @ $1,410.

Paul and Ros O’Brien’s Charolais x heifer calves sold @ $1,450 and Angus x @ $1,390.

Latimer & Sons had a quality pen of Angus x heifers @ $1,370, while 

J and L Moisson’s Black Limousin x heifers sold @ $1,320.

Doug and John Webster of Jimna had Angus x heifer calves @ $1,400.

Tablelands of Kilcoy had Charolais x heifer calves @ $1,280 and $1,250.

Redlin Grazing Co’s Charolais x heifers sold @ $1,370,

Gavin Wolff’s Charolais x heifers realised $1,360.

There was a draft of 144 heifers from Moranbah. The Brangus met excellent competition selling @ $1,580 for 3 pens and the Euro x sold @ $1,560 with Brahman x @ $1,340.

The next major store and weaner sale is on Friday 23 July.
