Truck accident causes delays on Bribie bridge
Drivers have been warned to avoid the Bribie Island Bridge this afternoon, following an accident involving a truck on the bridge.
One lane on the bridge was closed off, after the truck collided with the railing.
The accident resulted in plenty of traffic congestion and delays in the area around the bridge, including during school pick-up times.
The inbound lane to Bribie Island was closed while police directed the traffic.
The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) advised that nobody was injured in the accident.
The truck sustained a blown tyre, and the vehicle was eventually removed from the bridge.
