Wamuran faces big run chase in Division 4
MAROOCHYDORE set a big target for Wamuran-Stanley River to chase at Wamuran Sports Reserve in Division 4 cricket.
The visiting team batted first on day one of the contest last Saturday, and compiled a total of 255 in 71.1 overs.
Opening batter Adam McGuinness struck 12 fours and six sixes in his innings of 111, while the second highest scorer was number six batter Travis Jobson, whose 48 included three fours and four sixes.
The dismissal of the century-maker triggered a collapse as Maroochydore lost its last six wickets for 36 runs, despite a last wicket partnership of 21.
Wamuran-Stanley River’s openers faced two overs before the close of play, and tallied three runs without losing a wicket.
