Wamuran Lions to host family fun day at local school

A family fun day from 3pm to 6pm at Wamuran State School has been rescheduled for this Saturday, after wet weather prevented the event from proceeding last Saturday.

As event organisers, Wamuran Lions Club members hope for fine weather in the latter half of this week, after last week was another case of one of their events being delayed due to weather issues.

On Wednesday night of last week, the decision was made to postpone the family fun day from March 11 to 18 due to the forecast of wet weather which subsequently materialised.

This will be the first time the Wamuran Lions Club has staged the event which will somewhat resemble the Wamuran Christmas Carnival, only without the Christmas elements and themes.

Last year’s Christmas Carnival was abandoned due to wet weather, after a movie night was repeatedly postponed for the same reason.

A giant slide, teacup ride, jumping castle, live music, food and drink stalls, wildlife experience, face painting, quiet corner, raffle prizes, and a classic car show will be among the entertainment on offer at the family fun day.

Anyone interested in attending the family fun day is advised to check the Wamuran Lions Club’s social media page for updates.
