Wolves U8s have fun at NRL trial
TEN Stanley River Wolves U8 rugby league players took part in a mini league game against the Redcliffe Dolphins U8s at the Redcliffe-based Kayo Stadium last Sunday.
Eljay Angus, Preston Holstein, Hank Gardner, Eli Pollock, Cooper Cochrane, Levi Stanton, Johnny Cardiff, Sam Potts, Parker Cox and Fletcher Hansen represented the Wolves as the game was among the curtain-raisers for the National Rugby League (NRL) Dolphins versus Gold Coast Titans trial.
Parents and players received a complimentary ticket each to the game, and the Dolphins were generous enough to provide an extra 16 tickets for family members and discounted tickets for extended family and friends.
Wolves president Mary-Anne Hallam said it was an exciting and fun way for the Wolves U8s to kick the season off, and a great opportunity for the club thanks to Dolphins NRL game development manager Shane Morris.
“By all reports, the kids had a great afternoon and loved the experience of playing at the stadium in front of a large crowd,” Mary-Anne said.
